IVIK LLC ("we", "our", or "us") provides ATV Remote (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how information is processed when you use the App on Android or iOS devices.
1. Information We Process
The App is designed to control compatible Android TV, Google TV, and Chromecast-enabled devices. To provide these functions, the App may process the following information:
- Local network information needed to discover and connect to supported TVs and casting devices.
- Saved remote preferences, favorite devices, quick access settings, app shortcuts, and language settings stored on your device.
- Connection and pairing state needed to send remote commands to a TV.
- Voice input audio when you press and hold the microphone control for Android TV voice input.
- Text you enter in the App when you choose to send text to a connected TV.
- Photos, videos, or local media files only when you select them for casting.
- Approximate and precise location-related data on Android where required by the operating system for Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or nearby-device discovery, and where processed by advertising or analytics SDKs depending on your device settings, permissions, consent choices, and SDK behavior.
- Diagnostics, crash reports, app events, device model, OS version, app version, and similar technical data used to maintain and improve the App.
2. Android Permissions
Depending on your Android version and device capabilities, the App may request or use permissions related to internet access, network state, Wi-Fi state, multicast/local network discovery, nearby Wi-Fi devices, Bluetooth connection and scanning, microphone access for voice input, notifications, foreground connected-device operation, and limited location-related permissions on older Android versions where Bluetooth or Wi-Fi discovery requires them.
On Android 11 and below, Bluetooth or nearby-device discovery may require ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION and ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION. Android classifies these as precise and approximate location permissions. The App uses these permissions to discover and connect to nearby compatible TVs and remote-control devices, not to provide maps, navigation, or background location tracking.
3. iOS Permissions
On iOS, the App may use permissions or system prompts for local network access, Bluetooth access, microphone access for voice input, photo or media access when you choose content to cast, and tracking or advertising-related consent where required by iOS. The exact prompts shown depend on your iOS version and the features you use.
4. How We Use Information
- To discover, pair with, reconnect to, and control supported TVs.
- To send remote commands, voice input, text input, and selected local media to compatible devices.
- To remember your settings and improve the reliability of repeated use.
- To analyze aggregate feature usage, diagnose failures, fix crashes, and improve compatibility.
- To respond when you contact support.
5. Local Network, Voice, Text, and Media
TV discovery and remote control operate over your local network, Bluetooth, or platform APIs where available. Voice input is captured only while you actively use the microphone feature and is sent to the connected TV for TV-side recognition or remote input. Text input is sent only when you use the App's text entry feature. Local media is accessed only when you choose content to cast.
6. Third-Party Services
The App may use third-party services that process technical, analytics, crash, advertising, or platform-service data under their own privacy policies. These providers may collect device identifiers, advertising identifiers, IP address, app events, diagnostics, crash data, ad interactions, approximate location, precise location where permitted by the operating system and user consent, and other technical information depending on your device, consent choices, platform settings, and the features you use.

Advertising providers and mediation partners may use mobile advertising identifiers and similar technologies to serve ads, limit ad frequency, measure performance, detect fraud, and comply with legal requirements. Where required by law or platform rules, the App or the operating system may ask for your consent before personalized advertising or tracking is used.
7. Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect
We do not intentionally collect TV names, MAC addresses, local network IP addresses, pairing codes, or text-input content in our first-party analytics events. Third-party SDKs may process IP address, advertising identifiers, device identifiers, diagnostics, ad interactions, and location-related data as described above. We do not sell your personal information.
8. Data Retention and Security
Settings saved by the App remain on your device until you change them, clear app data, or uninstall the App. Diagnostics and crash reports handled by third-party services are retained according to those providers' policies. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
9. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it where required.
10. Your Choices
You can control permissions in Android or iOS system settings, delete saved App data, uninstall the App, or contact us about privacy questions. Some features may stop working if a required permission is disabled.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
